APR (annual percentage rate)
The true yearly cost of a loan, including interest and fees — the number tribal lenders often hide.
What "apr (annual percentage rate)" means
APR expresses the total yearly cost of borrowing — interest plus fees — as a single percentage, so you can compare loans on equal terms. A bank personal loan might be 12% APR; a tribal loan is commonly 400–800%.
The most common complaint about tribal lenders is that they never show the APR before you sign, quoting only a payment. If yours didn't, our APR calculator reverse-solves it from the payment schedule.
