Every case below is worth understanding, but none of them wipes your balance. That question falls back to your state: in nine states, triple-digit loans are void and nothing is legally owed — which is a stronger position than any settlement.
Why the lawsuits keep going to arbitration
Arrowhead has faced multiple rent-a-tribe class actions — Bock v. WLCC (N.D. Ill.) and Easley v. WLCC II (S.D. Ala.) among them — but its defining legal feature is that courts keep enforcing its arbitration clause.
In Easley, an Alabama judge ruled Arrowhead could not dodge Alabama lending law, yet still compelled the borrower's future claims into arbitration. The practical effect: even borrowers who win individually cannot easily bring a class, which limits broad relief.
The cases
The WLCC suffixed-LLC RICO cases (Wakpamni brands)
rulingOne operator, a separate LLC per storefront
The Wakpamni Lake Community Corporation, an Oglala Sioux entity, gives each of its brands its own suffixed LLC — and the case captions decode the whole family. BGL is Bison Green Lending (CONLIN, S.D. Ind. 1:25-cv-00848, pending). FDL is Fast Day Loans (BROWN, 1:22-cv-00774). FFG is Falcon Funding Group (KNOTTS, 1:22-cv-01935).
FHC is Fox Hills Cash (a party in PURSLEY, 1:25-cv-02088, pending). JEM is Explore Credit (WAGES, 1:25-cv-02380, pending). GEG is Gan Eden Group (Henry, Bankr. W.D. Tenn. 22-00031). WLCC II trades as Arrowhead Advance (GREEN, 1:24-cv-01178; Easley, S.D. Ala. 1:21-cv-00049).
Nearly every caption names the same co-defendants — Raycen Raines III, Bret A. Crandall and Geneva Lone Hill — under 18 U.S.C. §1964, the RICO provision. The architecture matters to borrowers: a judgment against one suffix does not automatically reach the others, so relief in one case leaves the rest of the family untouched.

What to do if you are still being collected from
- Check your loan date first. Relief in this industry is bounded by a window, and the boundary is where people lose. A Mountain Summit loan from February 2021 was not cancelled while its sister brands' were; a Lac du Flambeau loan after 1 October 2023 falls outside the $1.4 billion Fitzgerald cancellation.
- Check your state before you negotiate. In nine states, loans above the rate cap are void — nothing is owed regardless of the contract or any settlement. See where tribal loans are void.
- Do not pay to make it stop. A payment can restart the statute of limitations on a debt that may already be unenforceable. It is the most expensive reflex in debt collection.
- Demand written validation within 30 days of first contact: the original agreement, the full payment history, and proof the collector owns the debt. Chains of sale on tribal loans are frequently incomplete.
- Revoke ACH authorization in writing — to the lender and, separately, to your bank. Telling only one of the two is the common mistake.
