What an Amplify Funding loan cost

Amplify Funding lent up to $2,500 at APRs of roughly 400–795% before being rebranded. Its terms were identical to what Lendumo offers today — because it is the same lender. The February 2020 rename is a common pattern in this industry: a brand accumulates complaints and litigation, and the operation continues under a cleaner name.

The rebrand, and what you may not owe

Amplify Funding was operated by Niswi, LLC under the Lac du Flambeau Band's LDF Holdings. On February 27, 2020 it was renamed Lendumo, and existing customers were migrated to the new brand — so if you borrowed from Amplify and now receive Lendumo communications, it is the same operation.

Both are covered by the Fitzgerald v. Wildcat settlement: LDF-brand loans made between July 24, 2016 and October 1, 2023 were cancelled if unpaid, as part of roughly $1.4 billion in cancellations plus a $37.35 million fund.

Court filings in related cases allege the tribe received only about 1–3% of the lending revenue while a non-tribal company ran the business.
